About

Bachelor in History (specialization in Prehistory) by Complutense University of Madrid (2005). I conducted my doctoral thesis on Gravettian Lithic technology in the Iberian Peninsula, comparing three sites in the peninsular eastern area: El Palomar (Yeste, Albacete), Mallaetes (Barx, Valencia) and Aitzbitarte III (Rentería, Guipúzcoa).
My main research interests are: cultural behaviour in the early Upper Paleolithic, lithic technology, experimental archaeology and paleoclimatology as a tool for Prehistory. I have made visiting pre-doctoral researches in the Laboratoire Méditerranéen de Préhistoire (Europe – Afrique) de la Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l'Homme (CNRS) at Aix-en-Provence and in the Maison René Ginouvès (CNRS) at Nanterre-Paris.
I am co-director of the excavation Palomar shelter and collaborated with the Group of High Mountain Physical Geography and a research project about the first prehistoric occupation at the High Atlas, all from Complutense University of Madrid.
